Overall calender year 2006 was full of success and twists for Pakistan Cricket. Pakistan started off winning the test series against India and ended with the success against West Indies. Muhammad Yousaf was the most successful player of the year for Pakistan. Oval dispute and Doping tests were real tests of team and admin this year.

January 17

First Test match between Pakistan and India ended in draw at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

January 22

Inzamam-ul-Haq, captain of Pakistan made his 25th century in test cricket. This is highest number of centuries by any Pakistani batsman till date.
